It is a fruit from a drought resistant plant, a succulent and rustic cactus. The fruit is ovoid
in shape with measures approximately 10 cm long and 6 cm wide and has a green color
at its birth, turning yellow with scaly skin with hard and sharp spines that can be
detached easily, its pulp is soft, sweet and mushy. The yellow pitahaya contains a greater
amount of sweet than the other varieties of the same species.
